This is the new Alpine A110 R Le Mans, a special edition version of the brand’s lightweight sports car designed to celebrate 100 years of the Le Mans 24 hour endurance race.

This alternative to the Porsche 718 Cayman is lighter and faster than the standard car, and it’s limited to 100 units worldwide.

New Alpine A110 R Le Mans design

The new Alpine A110 R Le Mans is based on the standard A110 R, so a lot of design details are carried over from that car.

You get the same carbon bonnet with additional vents over the standard A110, along with a carbon fibre roof and wheels to help keep the weight down. The white and blue livery is also exclusive to this car, and there are some 24-hour emblems on the side skirts.

At the rear there’s a carbon wing with more blue accents, as well as large centre-mounted dual tailpipes. The rear window has been replaced with carbon fibre, not great for visibility but it keeps the weight down. There’s a shark fin in the centre for added stability.

New Alpine A110 R Le Mans suspension and chassis

The A110 R is the lightest version of the French sports car, coming in at 1,082kg. That’s 21kg lighter than the standard A110.

This is thanks to the abundance of carbon fibre on the roof, wheels and seats, and the Le Mans special edition weighs exactly that same as the standard A110 R. It has been made both lower and stiffer than that car though thanks to some tweaked suspension, making it feel more engaging on a track.

New Alpine A110 R Le Mans engine and performance

You get the same 1.8-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine in the Alpine A110 R Le Mans as you get in the standard car. It has 300hp, just like the A110 S, however it’s slightly quicker from 0-60mph than that car thanks to its lower weight. It completes the sprint in 3.9 seconds.

How much does the Alpine A110 R Le Mans cost?

The new Alpine A110 R Le Mans is available to order now in France, with prices starting from 140,000 euros. That’s around £120,500, making it around £52,000 more than the standard A110 and £25,500 more than the A110 R.

Official UK prices haven’t been announced yet though, so this might change slightly. The A110 R Le Mans is also limited to just 100 units worldwide, so you’ll have to be quick if you want one in your garage.
